Mindful Organising and its Role on Safety

Two scientific papers have just been published in “Safety Science” in a Special Issue on “Mindful Organising and its Role on Safety. These papers showcase the fruitful research conducted within Future Sky Safety, and highlight the innovative findings achieved.
In “Investigating and Operationalising the mindful organising construct in an Air Traffic Control organisation” we aimed to provide empirical evidence for the mindfulness concept in a real aviation context via a case study completed at Maastricht Upper Airspace Centre (MUAC).
The second paper, “Mindful Governance model for ultra-safe organisations“, provides clear guidance on how to sustain the implementation of mindfulness in an aviation organisation.
